60K service for prerunner

    Hi I know this has been asked, but I just wanted to list the items that need service for the 60k. I don't tow, so would i have to change the differential fluids?

    What I planned to do was: spark plugs, oil change, and air filter change. Would that be all that's needed?

    When you change the diff oil this late the gears are used to the viscosity of the oil now. Changing it could put strain (or Stress) on your diff gears and might eventually cause them to fail

    Yes. Change the diff fluid too. 3 quarts of 80-90 or 75-90 gear oil is cheap assurance that all is good.

    Sorry, I my first truck. So when you say change the differential, you mean the rear only right cause I dont have front diff? It involves removing the drain plug and filling from side plug right?

    Old thread (I know) but i'm due for an oil change and i'm at 56k miles so i might as well do everything required in a 60k service. What exactly is suggested at the 60k mile mark?

    Spark Plugs, Engine Oil/filter, wash air filter (K&N), Diff fluids. Anything else?

    I've read over and over that you keep suggesting the Denso spark splugs rather than going for aftermarket plugs. From your experience, where should be the cheapest place to get them? dealership or auto parts store?

    I just gat them from the dealer, as they are close and always have them. They are not going to be too much cheaper from anywhere else.

    This is on the dot... I think my drive shaft JUST started squeaking (63k miles) and I am pretty sure that is it. It only squeaks when I accelerate or when I am going slow. I wasn't sure so I sprayed a whole can of silicone based lubricant and it didn't do shit. Chris, do you mind showing me how to grease the drive shaft?

    No grease zerks on the prerunner, so Im thinking the squeakng is the springs. Have someone jump and move around in the bed with you underneith listening for the sound.

    I will upload the audio file later. I know it's not the springs because it sounds like it is spinning... I thought it was my rear brakes, but I had my buddy drive around while I ducked my head under there and it sounded like it was coming from where the drive shaft meets the rear diff.
