You may want to consider adding some protection for the value on the CO2 tank. Branch swings out just right, or even a roll over (when you might need the tank the most) and that value could break off. I love the location, but some better protection might be in order.

 

I agree, not to mention the possibility of theft (when back in the city).
I have mine inside the extra-cab ( behind the DS seat ), attached by the regulator guard to the wall, AND buckled in with the seat belt.

 

Agreed. I don't like anything that can become a projectile, fireball, or explosive in the cab with me if I can help it.

I do hiwever see the point about damage to the tank, but really, you probably have bigger problems in a roll over. Only other place you could really put it is in the bed, but too short now for it to stand up.

 

Had a major tune up done on friday and so far I think its cured the weird issues it had.
Seemed to smooth out the acceleration and regained some lost power in 5th on the freeway.

Replaced:
front o2 sensor
front diff fluid
transfercase fluid
transmission fluid
rear diff fluid
changed oil and filter
replaced spark plugs with OEM Denso non iridium
cleaned throttle body butterfly

Still need to replace the rear o2 sensor but had to get a new crush gasket and hardware as the old stuff is heat and rusted on the bolts

How did you manage a 4 inch suspension with 4x4? is it a drop bracket?

 

I do not work at either, but wish I did since I spend a lot of time there. An employee discount would help.

It's still a work in progress. I just finished redoing the interior (new carpet & racing seats & 2nd rear battery backup & onboard air system). I have more pictures that I could post if this is the thread for that.

 

Purchased the truck 4 years ago with the lift already in place. Truck had been in storage for awhile till I could get the time to focus on it.
The lift is a ProComp set up with a drop bracket

 

few rigs ive seen with 3" body lifts actually looked good. Think it being blacked out helped blend in all the exposed frame.

I am looking for wheel well inserts or material to fill in the void at all 4 wheel wells. If anyone has suggestions or vendor suggestions, I would be more than happy to hear about it.

 

speaking of 3" body lifts. I came across the chance to pick up this parts truck for about $250. Think i might just have to get. Its a blown up 2.7 and body and chassis is rusted but alot of good parts.
