    so you guys just ran the wires out of where you can take bar apart and just smash it in im guessing? also i dont read anything on a power source for the lights. i got the kit and bar, connectors ect. but no power source is really mentioned

    Yeah, I'm sorry I didn't help more. Asked a fellow member to post a pic multiple times, but I guess he's busy or something.

    I'd get mine and take a pic, but its not able to be taken apart, I just drilled a hole through the end cap since it was an experimental one.

    Basically have the wires come out the end and then fold it under one of the fins and maybe shave the cap a little so the wires don't get squished.

    For the kit, the control box that comes with it is powered by a 12 volt DC male plug. You can cut the end off from your converter that came in the kit and use that or buy one that fits the control box. Then plug the rgb wires to the box.

    Mount the box somewhere more dry, may have to extend the wires off the bar.

    This is why I recommend buying the strip and better controller separate, rather than the kit. I may as well remove it from the OP.

    Not much i was just thinking i want to get two 7-8" light bars to go in the wings of my bumper and would like to have backlighting but didnt want to spend the extra money for somebody else to do it

    Sounds good! Would look great on that SOS hybrid man!

    Just make sure you get 3D or 4D optics in the bars, best outcome.
