I love mine for small stuff, or stuff I need quick access to in the center console. Best $7 I've spent on mods.

The aluminum weighs half as much as the steel so it's a good bit of savings. I haven't had any issues with mine, I had a tree branch fall on the edge of the plate which isn't supported and it bent down, but I was able to straighten it with a flathead screwdriver and it's perfect. Not sure how much damage the steel version would've had, but I'd bet it'd be harder to straighten than my aluminum version was. If you put the OEM tailgate cover back on top of it, you'll need to enlarge the holes in it to accept the OEM bolts but it's quick and easy work, though the fiberglass dust made my arms itchy for a couple hours. That piece alone is surprisingly heavy, I thought it was plastic until I pulled it off of my truck, and saw the fiberglass when I started looking at it.

 

I'm stocking with the steel version and no OEM backing. I hate the corrugated tailgate for sitting on and my beers always fall over

 

There is that, it's not the most comfortable on the knees. But I figured I'd rather damage the OEM piece than my expensive, aluminum plate.

 

Steel ftmfw. But i do think I'm gonna need redline struts lol

 

Got in line for a new @Pelfrybuilt rear bumper with tire gate...excited to get the spare out of the bed.

I'll have to dig deeper into this when the truck is ACTUALLY IN MY FUCKING POSSESSION. I can picture everything on my 01, but on the 15.

Nah, I got the relentless FLAT tailgate support, so my beer will sit on it juuuust fine. But yea, I need a beer opener somewhere

Not sure yet. Their website said 8w. I'm OK with that. I mean I waited way longer for my front bumper
