Ohh, & you can do it your self with a rented spring compressor, I got one from Napa for free with $100 deposite only & it worked fine.

yes you can do this at home. i will be. as long as you have done some kind of mechanics before its pretty staight forward. just pay attention to how you took them off and reverse. as for the 5100s in the rear it depends. are you getting an AAL? if so then yes. your rear shocks will not be long enough and lessen your travel. you said you were wanting to do this right the first time. its not much more to get the rears as well. downsouthmotorsports.com has them for 300 shipped since your a member here

correct, but they are long travel shocks that are needed when lifting the rear

lots of pro's and con's in different lifts but I think if you are on a budget get the 5100's set them at 1.75 and be done nice level truck and tires will look fine too:D

ok so to get the whole truck lifted, not just level, i will need to get the 5100s all the way around, an AAL, and then figure out what to set the billies at to level it off. Perhaps some UCAs....am i missing anything?

Is there any point to getting new coilovers?

correct, but they are long travel shocks that are needed when lifting the rear[/quote]x2 thats why I put them on the rear when I did my 1.5AAL longer travel = better

I know lifts get expensive real fast, but thats about what i have to spend. If i can get a good quality lift for much cheaper, then more money for other mods. but i do want to make sure i dont have to redo anything. Im very particular about my toys, and want the best that i can afford. Sounds like the billies all the way is a very good option, and will last, so that is what im leaning towards now.

As for the UCAs?????any suggestions, i know TC is a big name. are they neccessary for a quality alignment?

ya that a very new truck I guess if it were me I'd go with the OME 3" kit and some better tires
OME 3"kit is $699 (i tthink) good alignment $100 leaves you a grand for some sweet rubber

does a lift void any warranties? obviously if it directly causes an issue, but will they not work on it if its lifted?

i can get tires for pretty much nothing. a buddy of mine sells them wholesale and can just write off a set for me. I have about 1800 for a lift and other mods. not much else i want to do to it now, as it is so new.

on the oem lift, whats the difference between the AAL and the OEM springs and bushings option. besides price and the obvious....any reason to chouse one over the other?
