We should be good without a radio for this weekend right? Not sure if I'll have one by then. I'm going but I might just meet at the trail. I'm in la Mirada. Not sure if meeting up at the ihop is out of the way for me.

 

You'll be fine without a radio. Last time we went, none of us had radios and kept pretty close. Might be more fun with comms just for the comedy factor, but not necessary.

 

You don't need one, it's just nice to have one. Like everything else we have on our trucks. Haha a few of us are meeting off the 210
And foothill at about 9am if you're interested

 

I'm off the 5 and 91. Is the 210 out of the way? Is it faster just to go from Where I'm at or meeting up?

 

It looks like it's a straight shot up the 5 for me.

Cory, the link you posted is the same radio I have. The comms cable allows you for you to preprogram your radio easily with specific channels. You don't use the CD it comes with. Just download CHIRP. Its a free program that lets you easily manage your programmed channels. This video is kind of boring but helps to easily program your radio.

 

Ze right CHIRP is better. The CD has malware.

• Caravan meeting at IHOP. 8600 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045 be there by 8-8:30am and departing at 9:00am
• if you cant meet up for the caravan we should be at Gorman by 10:30am
• 2 WHEEL DRIVE FRIENDLY
• Dont be shy or scared, we all work as a team to make sure we have a fun and safe trip.
• if your new to off roading and have a new truck, be prepared to get light brush scratches

I can usually only do Sundays and Mondays. If you guys can't do Sunday let me know.
