    Ya I am completely agree. I personally like it out a little so it makes the led bar stand out and makes the car beefier. Both look great tho.

    I have a 2012. I'm looking to put a 30-31" bar in the lower grill opening. Other then the Rigid mount, how are people mounting these? My thoughts are just some angle brackets on the crash bar and mounting the bar to that. Pics would be great.

    I mounted it directly to the aluminum crash bar mounts which some people call crash cans. Best way to do it is remove grille and bumper. I pre drilled some threaded holes for the bolts

    Yours is mounted behind. I want mine in the opening. I know I'll have to cut the grill slats as well.

    Wow, I really like those Duallys in the bottom opening. Does anyone know if the mounting used in the post I quoted ^^ would work for a 2014? I don't really want the look of a huge light bar and I don't really want to pay for one either...

    That's how I do it I get an angle bar and mount it on the crash bar and put some washers to make sure it doesn't shake at all.

    Check your bolts! Was fishing yesterday and came back to the truck and noted that the bar wasn't attached on one side. Somehow the bolt that holds the bar to the stands had unscrewed and fallen out.

    tied the bar to the grill to get home, and managed to get the bar out without taking the truck apart again. The hole wasn't stripped, so must have just loosened over the months?

    Guess I'll have to find a replacement, and check the bolts more often

    Had a self tapping screw come out and land right in my tire :(

    Thinking about drilling a bolt through the top and out the bottom, however probably wait till it comes out again since its a pain to get back there

    I'll probably use self tap screws. Got my lightbar yesterday, waiting to install backlighting and get my truck back from the frame recall

    Ohh, hm. I don't know how to tap a hole for a bolt is the thing, so I may just get some all thread rod and bolt straight through the entire crash bar

    that'll work, tapping a hole is not hard at all, pretty much using a drill
