I can't be the only one with this issue. But when it's even slightly sunny out the touch display screen is nearly impossible to see.
has anyone found a solution for this? I have looked online and found matte screen protectors, dash cowls, etc. Just wondering if anyone has tried one and its working.

Tinted windows.. For real, when I have the windows down I have glare all the time, It at least drops your chances of glare down 75%

That was my original thought. Issue is where I live it's illegal to have the driver and passenger side windows tinted. People do it don't get me wrong and get the fine, just wondering if there is another way and not get the fine every time I go through a road block or cross the border.

Toyota solved the issue with the 2016 Tacoma by making the screen more vertical.

You can increase the brightness of the display in the display settings. I found this helps a noticeable amount, but the problem isn't solved.

Yeah Doesn't really help on the older models, but good to hear that Toyota has looked into the issue and hopefully resolved it for future displays.

Yeah I tried that as well it does help a bit but it still noticeable. I have found a few anti-glare screen protectors on Amazon and similar sites. Maybe bite the bullet buy one and see how it works.

Id say even just the UV protection from tint may help even if it is like 35% (guessing thats what legal for you? maybe wrong lol)

Do you turn your headlights on during the day? That automatically dims the screen. It was driving me crazy until I found out what was happening.

Maybe someone will make an aftermarket dash/center stack piece the puts the head unit in a more vertice position?
