I dig, beats shoving my $90 holster between the seat and center console. I may adapt this and rig up something that mounts next to my right leg

That beer holder is genius but how did you mount it to the truck? Got any more pics on the holder? This and a bottle opener in the bed are next on the list since I'm officially poor

First one was just an old water bottle and mounted using the existing bolt for the bed cubbie.

Second one is better and quick release. Made this one from an old stroller cup holder.

    Simple, and most importantly: cheap.

Had a little gutter guard left over and made these stone guards. Not sure if I'll keep them on but it was a quick project.

Not sure if it's a frugal "mod", but I always keep a cable and lock in the bed of my truck. It's threaded through the OEM d-ring. It's definitely not completely theft proof. But we have a nice BOB stroller that doesn't fit in my truck that I secure with it. Also our cart with wheels thing (I'm sure if you're a parent you've obviously seen them at every kids sports events). Even used it to secure my chainsaw in the back of the truck after using it so it didn't get stolen or my interior dirty.

I park in a garage at home so usually I only use the cable and lock for if we go out to eat at a restaurant or something. Figured maybe this idea helps anyone who hasn't thought of it. Simple but it saves me some headaches.

I actually do that too. I keep an old bike lock back there for whenever I have, well, a bike (I didn't get locking fork mounts). Or really for locking whatever's back there and is worth tethering to the bed.

Just some rubber step pad material I found at my local hardware store. Came on a roll and sold by the foot.

Not really a truck related mod but frugal nonetheless. Free CL camp wood I scored. The two 55 gallon drums were freebies too.

Edit: I made the wood holder from a wooden bed frame someone had on the curb for trash. DON'T JUDGE ME!

Thanks for sharing. As a first time truck owner, I appreciate all these "common sense" tips.
