Gasket maker for reinstalling timing chain cover

    The Ultra Grey should work, but if you use the Permatex product selector, they recommend the Ultra Black for it's oil resistance qualities. They recommend the Grey if you are using a gasket, the Black if not.

    There is also the JB Weld Ultimate Black Silicone. It has high oil resistance and is rated to 500 degrees F. Permatex is rated to 550 degrees.

    The Right Stuff line is 3X the price but there is no cure time.
