Yeah the house we are in now was a vet like me and lucky we saw the house when he was there and we hit it off. So he took my offer over every one else that bid on it. I didn't have to offer more then asking price. Plus the appraisal was more then asking. So I got real lucky. Any leverage you can use, use it.

We moved in our new place a few months ago and I liked our neighbors. Never met them but were quiet. Now all three houses surrounding us are vacant. Though someone seems to be moving in out back since they built up a new fence. So hope the new neighbors are all good too. Lol

Ray I don't think there is any way you could be a jerk. Just not in your DNA.

Stratton open space. Over by the Broadmooor, yesterday. Didn't even make it half a mile before my tires wouldn't turn anymore.

Start above the top of the chutes after a rain. Buckhorn and Jacks are as good as they get when the rest of town is mud!

Seriously. I bought a road bike to get some exercise while seeing some scenery. Have I had a window more than a couple hours long to ride any significant difference? No!
I pulled my motorcycle out of the garage (I hate having it sit outside) so that I could ride her at a moments notice. I have had a few rides but have gotten rained on in the middle of it every time.

BUT, I guess we could be living in Cali...puke.

    Rain gear?
It still sucks, but at least you can still ride.

My favorite time to camp is during a torrential downpour. :rain:

I've been doing some runs and training locally. My Wife and I went the Barr Lake and got drenched in stinging rain and hail, as a fast moving thunderstorm came in. I'd hate to hit something like that on a bike, as soon as I felt any drizzle on my bike I turned around.

I went up Old Stage the other day to get some videos of my suspension. Started raining and hauling on us just as we finished. Got to see some cool flash floods but man my truck was muddy after.

I rarely intentionally head out on a ride in crappy weather but sometimes you get caught in it. I always have the leather with me in case it changes.
I rode over Vail Pass once in a blizzard that left a few inches on the road. Honestly thought I was gonna die that day. I tried to wait it out at the top of the pass, I was close to the top when it started. After an hour of blizzard and realizing I might be stranded for the night, I went for it. Good thing about mtn passes is the snow goes away as you drop in elevation.

I enjoy the rain when I'm out and it starts. but it keeps me from getting out when I expect it for some reason
