Just curious, and I did search several posts first.
My 2010 Off Road 4WD DC has been stock suspension since I got it. With stock suspension I have the max size tires (without rub): 265/75-16.
My question is, with the front Bilstein 5100s (which will be installed soon) with the following adjustments available:

    5100%20settings_19422b7a0d79dc5ad58ec1bbe698de9afea9ba4f.jpg

What are the largest 16" tires (without rub) for each of the increase settings, but specifically for me, at the 1" stetting?

The rear lift is done with Ride Rite air bags (installed by Jason 'Speed Freek') yesterday, and rear 5100s are coming soon. The truck went up 3" with just 20 psi added to the air bags!

Thank you for help answering the tire max question at 1" lift or more in front.

I would say 32 (265/75/16) would be fine with little to no rubbing, 33 (285/75/16)-(255/85/16) would require some trimming and pinch weld removal.

u can run 255/85r16 on stock suspension with little to no rub and no trimming. im at 1.75 upfront (prolly not quite 1.75 because i have almost 200k miles on my coils and my front bumper is about 65lbs over stock) and thats what i run
which are just over 33" x just over 10"

I would say 265's for all of them to get zero rub. I rubbed with 285's and have a 3" lift installed.

Thanks, but that is what I have on now, with no lift (and no rub). I was hoping for some chart that says for each 1 inch of lift, the tire diameter can go up XX inches.

Doesn't exist and won't because wheel choice comes into play with rubbing as well.

In any event. You're buying the wrong shock.

Sure, sounds good to keep the width at 265mm... or whatever is not greater with a different aspect ratio?

The measurements for the notches are wrong. See my above post.

i would say that video is either not for the 2nd gen tacoma or someone got their numbers wrong and or just rounding lift so they dont have to say "point eight five inches"

No, I am certain it is the correct shock for my truck and my need for little to no lift but better ride.

But those are specs for the product being sold? How lame must a company be to list specs that don't exist?

Interesting, as it is a Bilstein spokesman and factory video? I can understand if they 'rounded' .85 to 1.0, etc... but then is there no taller tire (than 265/75) that will not rub at .85" if that is the first notch?
