Wiper Blades - Driver side not enough pressure

I need suggestions/solutions.

I purchased Rain-X Latitude wipers a while ago. On my driver's side just above middle on the wiper blade I get no pressure and bad streaking. I realize the wiper arm may not be strong enough to combat the curvature of the blade itself. I would like to solve this as it it is very annoying. When I get the chance to I clean my windshield and apply Rain-X but still have the streaking problem in heavy rains. (which we have had a lot of in Texas this summer)

 

Use a different wiper. I use Bosch Icons and the pressure is fine and I get complete clearing under the path of the blade.

I've tried those and had the same result, I went back to other non curved wiper blades and have not had the problem since.

Remember those spring things you put on the outside of the wiper arm? Dad used to put those on all the vehicles during the 80s

 

i used these exact same wipers and they suck on these trucks. go bosch

Maybe the spring is bad or wiper a bit bent. If you replace with OEM arms and then use OEM inserts you shouldn't have any issues. I find the OEM inserts work at least as good, if not better than any aftermarket brand.

Absolutely true. The Latitudes were my first blade replacement and in just a matter of 6 months I had the same problem the OP has described. I replaced them with a cheap $5 pair from Walmart and they lasted about 18 months, and I'm just now getting ready to replace them again - with the same brand.
