I want to see mention of a "stepped up" Sport level.

Wow, totally disappointing - SR5 with a 4.2 inch display. I didn't even think they made ones this small anymore.

And if you want the safety package "Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert" you have to get the most expensive package. F*ck Toyota - the safety stuff should be standard. I used to think this stuff was gimmicky (including the rear backup camera) but now that I have them in another vehicle I find they are essential.

If you want leather seats and other luxury crap then offer it in a luxury package. The safety stuff should not be especially since they do not cost a lot (parts wise) - a few hundred bucks.

Yeah, I'm with you on that 100%. Knowing that things like backup cameras can cost as little as $15 on Amazon (mine's going strong for 2 years now)... and probably $5 buying in crazy high volume like a manufacturer would, it should be standard.

They may not cost much but you are paying for the research and development not the cost of parts

True, but a $20K Kia, Mazda, Subaru so on and so on has these safety features as standard. You won't get this kind of stuff until you pay $40+K for a Limited Tacoma. Bullsh!t. What is Toyota's excuse?

    Toyota Safety That Makes Sense

The 2016 RAV4 will be among the first North American models with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS), a new multi-feature advanced safety package anchored by automated pre-collision braking. TSS bundles cutting edge safety technologies including:

    Pre-Collision System
    Forward Collision WarningLane Departure Alert
    Automatic High Beams
    Pedestrian Pre-Collision System
    Dynamic Radar Cruise Control

TSS will be available on 2016 RAV4 Limited grades.
I can see the limited tacoma getting this, as well as perforated leather instead of the softtex seats. Also the limited should get the chrome grill and the non limited should get the non chrome grills. And the limited will stay as a automatic only vehicle.

Wireless charging is dumb. Do any of you actually know what it entails?

Agree, rather pointless feature I'm sure Toyota got paid to incorporate into their vehicles (gopro mount). There's a reason Apple still has yet to incorporate the technology into their phones. Not as efficient, still requires wires, has to be a distance of centimeters, kind of silly, from my understanding it will be standard on TRD models but still if it plays into price increase, that's a shame.

I think the 4.2 inch display is the one middle of the gauge cluster, I'm assuming the larger infotainment is the same as TRD, etc... Same as now, it is an upgraded package. Unless you were being sarcastic.... Either way!

Yeah, inductive coupling which charges your phone as it lays unused on the console away from your hands as you drive....

Seems convenient with not much of a downside to me. I have it at home and it is much nicer than fumbling for cords all the time.

This is what I like. Not having to store the cord. I hate wires. Just plop phone down and it charges. It could charge and play music at the same time.

Love wireless charging but probably wont use it while im driving. My phone is always in a dash mount with Waze up and running.

I need to pick up one of those ottie dash mounts with Qi built in.

What would really be nice would be to have Qi built into the rear flip-down center console that the kids can charge their tablets.

For reals, or one of the many phones that has incorporated qi charging ability. The PMA charging protocol is nonsense though - one of the reasons I ditched my AT&T LG G3 for the S6 since AT&T had stripped it of QI ability due to them being in bed with the PMA whoevers.

But wireless charging is tits on your nightstand, and good ones can charge through phone cases and with sloppy-

AKA lay your phone flat in a place that you usually throw change and gum wrappers in your car, and have it charge. That's not far fetched, and it's awesome. I hate fiddling with micro usb cords in a hurry. Also, make no mistake, Apple hasn't incorporated this technology because they're probably going to come up with some proprietary protocol just to be dbags or have it be one of the minor 'upgrades' in a following phone release. That's how they roll.

Hey merf, do they have something like that for apple phones to be supported by Qi?

Kinda. Iphones are kinda glued/double sided tape together so there is no solution that fits in the phone like the note 4 solution i posted above.

There are 2 alternatives for iphones.

1st is a bulky case that has it built in.
    http://www.amazon.com/YIPIN-Standar...pebp=1436389727810&perid=1ZJFQ5S2PMXEA9GVZXH2

2nd is a card that fits under almost any flexible case
    http://www.amazon.com/Qi-infinity-U...pebp=1436389773122&perid=1ZJFQ5S2PMXEA9GVZXH2

With that said, I'm an Android fanboy and don't have any personal experience with either of these solutions.
