Yes is is. It was a nice system and I didn't have to cut or splice a single wire. Direct plug and play.

    understandable,
There is a market for people that don't want to do anything but plug it in and move on. I get that.

Or can work good for leased cars where they don't want to run wires - but for $1500 could build a good after market system

    Your telling me.
for your argument about leased car, its actually very easy to run wires for an after market setup, and when you take it back so easy to swap everything out as your not really cutting or removing any wires

Only crappy thing is that they don't make it for access cab version, but I have already asked them to look into that.

yup, they would have to get creative with a sub box in between the jump seats and eliminate the rear door speakers from their kit

For that kind of money you can run a very high-end front-stage and sub with a DSP or an active-capable head unit with far better results.

True, not everyone wants a full blown system. Essentially it's the same thing with different components and less money and better results was my point.

@ratcityrain what exactly made their system for your tc a "great system?" Does this company know their stuff in terms of quality components, sound reproduction, customer support, etc...? Thanks for posting this - There doesn't seem to be any reviews for their truck products -- So I'm trying to grasp how well they've done other models.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the information. I fall into the category of wanting something a bit more powerful than stock, but don't want additional mics and SXM antennae cluttering my rig. This setup might not be the best for the Taco audiophiles, but for my money the convenience is worth it.

I would say that the company knows what they are doing in terms of audio, quality of components and sound. Each system they make is designed specifically for that vehicle - now granted I am confident to say that one 6.5" 2 way speaker that works in the tC probably works in the Tacoma too (this is just a guess), but what I do know is that there amp and dsp is designed for each vehicle. They tune and adjust all settings for that vehicle specifically for best sound reproduction and sound placement in the vehicle.

As mentioned earlier their are cheaper ways to do a system upgrade and this kit isn't for everyone. Their system is very nice, their components are nice and the install is super easy with great fit and finish. It uses all existing wiring (minus the wires you have to run to the battery for the amp).

To me, the only thing lacking in the tC was the sub - meaning it wasn't loud enough for me personally. It sounded good, it didn't distort and car never rattled, but I personally wanted more. Also a lot of the time the sub box will be paint matched to the vehicle color too.

Lastly, the truck kit is brand new - if you want to read reviews I would look at the tC, Fr-s/Br-z kits since those are what they started with. They are finally branching out to other make and models.

Anytime. I think the fr-s guys got it better 'cause they got 2 subs I believe. I know the 2nd gen xB got 2 subs (one under each seat) and I was one of the first kits for the tC and my complaint to them was it needed a 2nd sub too. It was nice in the tC to have a sub and not loose any cargo space at all
