So I am going to get my windows tinted tomorrow afternoon and I need some imput. Im trying to decide to get just the front windows tinted with 20% to match the back or to get 20% put on all around (darker in the back than front). What do you think I should do?

I did the 20% front. All the windows are the same. :)

depending on the brand... I would go 20% This will look the same from the outside due to the light that is coming through the windshield.
Inside the cab you will notice your fronts are darker, but again from teh outside they will look the same at 95% of the angles you look at your truck. if you do something less than 20% - say 35% the front will look substaintially lighter..

I hope this helps? It all depends on the look you are going for...

ya that helps. I never thought about the back being lighter from the inside...I think that might look a little funny. Im still not sure on which way looks better.

I did come up with this theory tho about being pulled over. Might be true or could just be completely off. I was thinking that if I tinted everyting then the backs would still be darker than the front...from a cops perspective this would look more like stock windows compared to having the front and the back the same. you hardly ever see stock windows that come factory with the same tint all around, so it might posibly decrease my chances of getting pulled over. Does that make any sense? lol

Ya. Did you read that article in the newspaper about how they used a razor blade to remove the tint right there while being pulled over? That wouldnt be very much fun. haha

Depending on your installer and company just take it back in and have it redone for free!!

(No Vehicles come STOCK with front tinted windows... so i don't think that would work.)

Here in Louisiana I got a paper from the State police that makes it legal for me to have my 5% tint. Find their web site where you live and check it out. Down here if you have a skin allergy or some sort of ailment related to the sun you can go to a doctor and get them to sign the form you print off of the net and mail it to whomever they tell you and get a free pass to have the tint. My daughter has fifths disease which is nothing but a slight rash that comes up when she gets overheated.

I have an access cab and i have the front window in 20% and the rear windows in 5%. It took some getting used to when i first started backing up and its kinda hard at night but i really like how dark it is.

The back windows on my last truck were a bitch to see out of at night. On this one i left them alone and went 20% front. They look even all around. It also keeps me legal.

Mexico has really been shitty to Americans. My wife and I have been going to the Bahamas. They are VERY friendly, good food, and BEUTIFULL beaches! Just no 4x4'ing. :(

I just tinted my new '08 last Monday. The factory tint in the back 3 windows from Toyota is light...at least compared to Ford. I had them retint the back 3 and then tint the driver and passenger to match.
