Buy the inserts from dealer or go aftermarket? Which brand(s) do you have? Do you love/hate it?

    Thanks.

I would get as little as possible from the dealership. Wiper blades are cheap and you can get them at any parts store. I use the rain-x latitudes and haven't had any issues.

I love my Michelin Stealth wiper blades, you can pick them up from Walmart for about $12 a piece. Have had them on my vehicles for a good while and no streaks or problems! I also use rainx on my windshield too!

One can never have too many light bars.
I've used Bosch Icons for a while now with no streaking. I think they're pretty similar to the Rain X Latitudes.

My factory wipers are still doing well after 2+ years. Pass side starting to streak a bit but nothing major. I have had some really shitty replacements over the years (namely the goodyear rain-x and michelin purchased through Costco and the like) and may give the factory ones another go next time I swing by to pick up more oil filters. I have used Bosch and other 'premium' ones in the past as well and haven't been overly impressed.

Try using spraynine to clean them every once in a while and 303 protectant and they will perform a little better for you.

Just curious, would it be possible to buy a new set of blades for my base model that i could put inserts in?

I'll second that..... I've had rainX, bosch, all the other brands & price inbetween...and they all work great for the first few months. They all start to suck and don't last long.

I buy the cheapest shit I can get and replace them about once a year.

Where do you buy your 303? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Check out Costco if you have a membership. Made in USA Goodyear wipers for 7.99 each. Awesome wipers that last a couple years in my experience. Just picked up a pair today for my Tacoma as my oem ones have already shit the bed.

I went aftermarket and bought some top of the line bosch or something I forgot.

For the price of the inserts just get them at the dealer. They are just as good if not better. And way cheaper. I bought some at the dealer recently but now I have to buy the whole wiper since I threw the previous ones away.

I have had good luck with the OEM inserts from the dealership. A little on the expensive side but durability and performance (when we had rain in CA) was good.

I asked the dealer parts guy what wiper blades they put on my truck when I bought it used because I thought they did a really good job and he said they use the Kleenview, just about the cheapest ones you can buy.

The last set I bought were from Rock Auto, they were Anco and they set me back about $1.65 per side. I even got an extra set for the wifes car at that price.

I did like the thicker 'winter blades' this winter.
Regular Anco's for rest of the year.

I do wipe the windshield down with Rain-X.

Makes not have a wiper delay more tolerable.

Ive been running sil-blades that I picked up from Sierra Expeditions. Been on for just over a year now. They've been through Colorado snow, AZ heat and So-Cal Monsoons, they're as good as they day I got them

Just order it through Amazon if your local stores don't have it.

i have the same blades from wally world...

during my 20k mile service the stealership called me to the service desk while i was waiting and told me my wipers were toast and they could replace them for $50 (on my 18 month old 2014).

i told him he could do it for free or otherwise i will buy from wally world and do it myself because i usually get 3-4 yrs out of the wally world brand wipers. i looked the wipers when i got home and found a tiny tiny tare at the tip of one of the wipers blades.

ps - i love the old anco wipers ( i think the walmart brand wipers are anco wipers) and i'm also a rain x fan as well (since the early 80's) but i fine that car wax works as well especially since i wax after every wash. i never wash unless i have time to wax and i avg 12+ washes & wax jobs per year depending on the weather. sometimes i do rain x between washes and on trips. my belief is that rain x is a wax suspended in alcohol
