I don't have access to a garage, so I do my detailing outside on my driveway. Is there a wax that works with application on vehicles in direct sunlight? I really don't have any other options.

I've never paid that much attention to in or out of sunlight. I just vary the amount I apply before wipeoff depending on the temp and amount of sun.

Okay, thanks. I had the Meguires Ultra wax recommended to me on another site too, so I picked some up today. Now to wait for a day that's not 30*C to wash and wax.

work towards the end of the day (low angle of sunlight) and / or in the shade

    or

Poorboys Ex-P or their Polish with Sealant (if you need some cleaning power). The entire poorboys line was designed to perform in direct sun (for mobile detailers)

Nothing much. I haven't been bitten by the mod bug. A little plasti dip. And a set of Wet Okole seat covers with gun pouch.
Turtle wax Ice line can be used in direct sunlight. You can even wax over black trim with no residue
