20% tint on all windows, Deckplate mod, satoshi-ish grille, blacked out and/or body matched emblems, rattle canned rims, red l.e.d. interior lights, bilstein 5100's and OME 881 coils , deaver 8 leaf pack, 1.5" lift shackle, alpine sound system, 55w HID lightforce 140 and 170 fogs
Why would you want to downshift on black ice.... That's gonna rev your engine way up and cause the back end to break loose.. That's like the easiest way to initiate a drift haha

Honestly I prefer GENTLE downshifting with braking for slowing in the winter on ice. It prevents the wheels from locking up and slows at a more consistent rate than the brakes. (I don't have ABS and normally hate it anyways)

Which totally makes sense for normal braking haha

But the whole premise of black ice is you can't see it and prepare yourself and have the time for a gentle downshift

Theres no traction on ice, shifting won't help anything, your tires would just spin.

When you're driving and start slipping on black ice, clutch, let the truck glide (which means don't freak out and turn your wheel too much) and then put it in one gear lower and slowly release the clutch and you'll be fine. How long have you people been driving in Alaska? I've slipped on the ice ONCE ever, and that was only due my own ego thinking I can do 80 up the hill coming out of Goldstream in Fairbanks. lol whipped that car around a few times and landed ass deep in the ditch.

If you're just coasting to slow down in neutral you can do the same exact thing in an auto....

But it's not a fun in an auto. To me, an automatic is a robot driving you, a manual is driven. some serious Speed Racer mantra right there. lol I've own four vehicles in my life.... only one was an automatic and I had for 9 months and got my first manual. Girl's gotta have that stick. LOL
