How long do you wait to do it? I Change it when I buy the vehicle.... I usually don't own it long enough to have to change it again.

I gained what seems to be 2-3 mpg freeway and a lot of my 5th gear power back
the slow speed 1-3 gear take off seems smoother and a little snappier too.

My mechanic cut the heat shield off and took the exhaust off the truck and inched the old bolts off slowly, New bolts and gasket were less than $15 at the dealer so.... why not.
Apparently the downstream one was a bitch though cause of all that.
The upstream one by the engine was easy peasy. came right off.

Also the upstream one is the most important.

My truck has never thrown a code or failed any smog for reasons of needing parts replaced, just idiot techs that cant understand my parts are 50 state legal.. LOL

I try to keep it properly maintained and running smooth. but since its not my daily driver anymore I didn't realize how bad it needed a tune.

Not sure if you need leaves cause of your lean or not but someone here is selling like 6" lift springs in the for sale section.
