I've searched the forums but haven't been able to see a clear answer but would a 2005 Tacoma with a 2012+ conversion be able to fit a 2005-2011 plate bumper?

I think if you already have the plate bumper you'll be saving money by not having to buy the 2012 bumper cover, bumper bar that sits under the bumper cover, and the expensive supporting brackets needed to make the new bumper cover fit.

Priced out through Village Toyota I'm looking at about $300 in brackets to allow me to install the 2012 bumper.

    Hope this helps

Its actually for a buddy of mine who wants a bumper who has already done the 2012+ conversion and I may offer to sell mine (ARB) to get a bruteforce front. But thanks :)

    Yes
No it will not fit properly, the aftermarket plate bumpers for the 2012 are shaped differently to match the different headlight and grill shape. Take a look a Pelfry's site he has some good photos that show the difference.
