Putting LT on front in a few weeks. With the Tundra axles, do I need to replace all 4 boots with 930's or just 2?

Just the inners. Make sure you cut off the old boot lip. I used a grinder with a cutoff wheel and cleaned it up with a file afterwards.

Totally agree, was tying to find the worst example. We just don't put all that effort in our suspensions, lift and big tires all to have Honda civic ground clearance. Most links are better. Just don't like having vulnerable parts hanging a few inches from the ground, even at high speed if they hit a rock..

just got a simple lift on her

I too have always wondered about the big bend in links.... why not make them straight?

so its just for geometry reasons?

i have always been curious because i am more of a crawler, and i want links... but i feel i would drag them everywhere,

I def dragged them over a few rocks, but it you use quality materials and build them strong you wont have an issue. Knowing your tire placement is really the main thing, they don't hang down any lower than a standard spring under leaf setup and there's nothing behind the axle to catch on anything.

Shit yeah it is! It would match up to a 2nd gen running a +5.5 kit nicely though.

so I don't miss my LT truck at all. So much money and time into something I only took out a handful of times. Also no more bros always asking if I go to the dunes.

In the last 2 months I have gone wheeling in my FJ 6 times.

It just had too many dirt miles on it. It needed to be ripped down to the frame and rebuilt again. When I sold it it was running the best it ever had and had a full rebuild on most of it.

Bushings, uniballs, heims, coils, shock seals, power steering rack, power steering pump, clutch, carrier bearing, bypasses out back, wheel bearings and seals, CVs, bolts, ect. That shit alone I could buy a brand new Camburg kit full retail and still save money.

One thing LT trucks deal with more then most is the amount of prep that is always needed. You guys (I used to) are always having to upgrade, replace, check, and fix something. Its time consuming as hell. Add in if you fuck something up how much it is going to cost you to fix it and the time to fix it. Just saying there is a hidden cost with being in that sport. There are about 5-10 guys here that have trucks that can handle it regularly or have t funds to do the maint to be able to go out. It is interesting to see how many stick to the sport.

The money part with our sport (off-road) is all the same. We just spend it differently depending on what you are into. Hell I have a tent on my roof that is crazy expensive or my ARB fridge that is also pricey. I guess it comes out to the same at the end of the day.

if dragging your links on stuff is your main concern you probably shouldn't be considering links in the first place...
