    when ever a dealer says that, Tell him/her I don't care i don't like it and i want it fixed. that why i bought a new Truck, so i have a Written warranty.

    Tell them to show you where it says that on your New Car Sticker!

    no SR5 trim on reg cab 5 lugs
    no power windows/doors on reg cabs
    no V6 for reg cabs
    slow as hell 2TR in the reg cabs
    transmission could use better gearing....first is ridiculously far from second.
    slow as hell main gearing
    no bed lights
    truck sits waaay to high stock
    frame sits way to tall and low in the rear
    transmission diesel tick

    but i still love it

    Squeaking leaf springs and cruise control that is unable to figure out hills (going from 5th, to 3rd, back to 5th multiple times on the same hill).

    3" pro comp lift
    some guys complain about no where to put a garage door opener my 07 has a built in place in the overhead console just for that. And people complain about no where to put change, mine has a little hidden compartment on the lower left side of the dash panel.

    I hate my transmission.... I mean who the phuck designs a transmission with no input shaft support bearing! No wonder my POS TO bearing sounds like shit! I would love to hear Toyota say, " we are happy to report that not only are we gonna replace ur trans, it's a brand new design with a support bearing so no more TO bearing noise"!

    Wishful thinking I know

    well i havent seen all models but i have the most basic no frills model you can get. no pw, no pl, no cruise, manuel trany, even has the open diff not a locker in back, and no fog lights, and didnt come with floor mats.

    I own the "super base" model and i hate:

    1. strange tacoma lean
    2. weak rear suspension
    3. open differential (i get stuck in almost anything other then asphalt)
    4. there is no slow setting for wipers
    5. those horrible wheels and tires it came with
    6. very fragile body which dents easily
    7. very uncomfortable bench seat with no back support
    8. and once again that disappointing rear suspension

    btw, is there a limited slip diff upgrade?

    you could run an X runner rear end but the thing with those is your stock gearing is either a 3.27 with the 5 speed manual or 3.58 with the auto...so yeah....and the XR is a 3.15...so you would pretty much need to re-gear.
