My wife and I are currently looking to buy land between Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. Good luck with the move and let's do some wheeling when you get here.

Not sure what your budget is but look along HWY 105 between Sedelia (SP?) and Palmer Lake. Awesome place.

Oh, I know that area and love it...and I've looked along there a lot. There are a few places I'd consider. We're also looking east of I-25 and west of CO 83, in between all the mesas. Right now we're trying to figure out how much we can build for and how big a piece of land we want to buy. Ideally I'd like to buy 20+ acres and subdivide it with people I know. Good things take time...

Very nice! I am looking along 105 all the time. It's either something not so great or a piece of property I need to win the lottery for.

Saw a white 2nd gen DC with the FJ TRD wheels (black) and a Tepui RTT at REI about an hour ago.

Really nicely built truck and look gorgeous.

Good luck with that! I know how much of a pain it is to job search. I'm dealing with that currently too.

Kind of how I am. "Grew up" in the Springs. It's not like it used to be. Lived in Fort Collins for school... I desperately want to go back North, or even in the Castle Rock/Larkspur area (but need money for that).

It's a good plan to find a temporary place to live to house search. Like said, South East is pretty hit or miss with the sketchy areas by the airport. Lived in Old Colorado City for a while and wasn't bad, but you gotta deal with a lot of homeless and we got tired of it. Moved recently over near the Broadmoor (which is funny because everyone assumes you have a million dollar home over here lol) but we're in the historic area with homes as old as the 1890s so they're a little more modest. Very cute and quiet neighborhood though. I love the history. I live across the street from one of the original houses of a man who owned almost the entire area way back when.

Ditto. Took me about a solid month to find a job here. Lots of stuff out there but finding something you want to wake up for every day is another story.

I've been applying to IT jobs for two months, they either pay half what they should for the required skills, or I never get a call back.

I've been applying even before I got out of school. You don't even want to know how many I've put in for lol. I either get no response, gets canceled, "people more qualified applied", or pushed out by hiring preferences. One job I went and did a panel interview three separate times for...and they decided not to hire anyone. :/ I at least have my current job as something to hold me over, but it's just that, a job.

Getting my first job out of school sucked ass, a lot. It took 4 months and that's when the economy was screaming hot. I could easily see it taking 1+ years if I had finished school in the last year or two. I would say the economy is poor right now, anyone who says it has recovered is blind.
