    Thats the main reason I switched to Goodyear Wrangler duratracs, they offer a 265/75/16 in a C rating
    I gained back the mpg and performance I had lost with old BFG Mud terrain same size E rated tires.

    33-35 psi for the past few years.
    BFG AT KO E rated 265/75/16 - 15-16 MPG 53+lbs
    BFG MT KM2 E rated 265/75/16 - 14-15 MPG 55+lbs
    Goodyear Duratrac C rated 265/75/16 - 17-19 MPG. 44lbs

    The lighter tire also makes for a quicker acceleration from stop and on the freeway dropping gears to pass.

    I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
    The new KO2s C loads only have a 2 ply sidewall. I didn't know when I bought mine. I only saw it on Tire Racks web site after I bought and installed mine. Sucks because the older ones had a 3 ply and BFGoodrich advertises as having a 20% stronger sidewall but nowhere except tire rack explains that they went to a 2 ply sidewall. Its the same problem with E load Duratracs they used to have a 3 ply and now they are only a 2 ply. I have to say I am really not happy about this I feel like all these company's are cheapening out and don't expect us to notice. Rant over

    3 ply for e rated. It because of weight. Thats why they did it.
    I went 3 ply for sidewall strength. Have had bad luck 4x4ing and sidewalls.

    That's my problem with the Duratrac's. My old one's are 3 ply sidewall e rated and now the new one's are 2 ply's

    Was going to go dura, but when they wanted $1100 for mounting and balanced without nitrgen i said FNo!
    Got my bfg's mojnted balanced and filled with nitro for $870.

    Yeah you need to find a shop that's cool with installing tires you didn't purchase from them. I have a local place that will install tirerack tires for $15 mount and balance per wheel. $60 + tire rack prices + shipping is pretty hard to beat.

    Idk man, not worried about it tho i enjoy the new tires. And from friends that have ran the tracs said they where good but why not try something new and if i was worried about sidewall puncture going to definitely go the three ply.

    The difference between the E rated tires I ran VS the C rated I run now is close to 10 lbs per tire. Same size.

    2013 TRD Sport 4x4 Pyrite Mica.
    OTT, OME, Dakar, Eaton rear locker, camper shell, Konig Six Shooters and 33" Wildpeak tires, Pelfreybilt front bumper and skids

    275/70/17 with Konig Six Shooters installed Friday. Had to remove all the front mud flaps and will have to do some additional trimming but haven't had a chance to track down where yet.
    The only negative effect of the load range E, coming from stock Dunlops, is the tires weight; sluggish acceleration and gas mileage hit. Was getting 18-19mpg, first tank on these tires was 16.6, should have the second tank results by weeks end.
    I think these ride better than the stock Dunlops. The taller sidewall flex, compared to the sports car feel of the Dunlop, was a little unsettling around the first corner but now I know what to expect and it doesn't bother me.

    265/70/17 comes in C and very close in size. I would exchange to get back your lost MPG. unless having 1/8 of an inch lift and 1/4 inch width means that much
