I really wish you could order a Tacoma exactly how you wanted one instead of these packages that are only available in certain configurations.

Don't think that would do much for production rates.

There's no good reason why you couldn't get a DCLB with a 6 speed manual for all these years. Toyota just wouldn't build one.

If they made a DCSB 4x4 with the 2.7 and a manual transmission I would have bought one. But they don't so I got an AC instead.

I remember when I read they were putting the V8 in there and thought "Man, that thing is going to be FAST!". I then looked up the specs.... still slow!

It's a bit more complicated than that. All Tacomas (newer ones) have traction control. I found a link that's rather old (from 2010) but explains a lot.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/a-trac-trac-auto-lsd-explained-easy-to-understand-i-hope.70551/

I personally don't have any of that myself. I have the ol' mechanical LSD. A simpler life.....and less to try and understand. LOL

I'm actually pretty pumped that you will be able to get a DCLB with the off road package! That was the one thing I hated about my '11.

Guessing that will be the hardest one to find or the least likely to get any sort of movement from MSRP on.

That was my thread... and it has been simplified a bit with the one in my signature now, and locked for no replies to try and tarnish the info by traction haters. (just kidding) LOL!

Yeah, I'm sure that one will be hard to get. But I see a ton of DCLB sports around so hopefully not. And as for pricing, I get Toyotas through the employee plan so that's not much of a factor to me.

Can we start creating a table between OR and Sport?
Maybe The OP or Somenone who would absolutely,
definitively, would like to have it updated once they
hit the dealers.(or gets posted on toyota.com)

I didn't want the sport. But looking at the leacked docs, I might have to settle with sport.
I don't like the scoop but I haven't seen a TRD OR with the colored over fenders... :(
    Edit: Or SR5...??

Ok. I'm going to dare do it. I'm going to ask...

    what is crawl control (specifically)?
What are the advantages of having it for off road conditions vs. just riding your brakes?

Clearly I have never off-roaded so I'm looking to expand my knowledge base here.

The off road has a color keyed rear bumper with the technology package. Chrome without it.
