I currently have Toytec adjustable coilovers with set at 2.5" with LR UCA. The rear has TSB with stock shocks and 1.25 (or 1.5"?) blocks.

Not really happy with the ride. Seems very rough. Especially off road. Not sure if it's because the coilovers are cranked a lot due to the weight of my Allpro bumper or if it's because of the the rear blocks or just if that's how it's spose to ride. I find it much rougher than stock or my previously lifted Ram & FX4.

From what I've read blocks maintain the factory ride (I'm not sure about this) but are not great for off-roading and could cause axle warp.

My question is what can I do to get a better ride at minimal cost (without going to buy fox coilovers or a whole new OME lift).

I don't haul anything and don't off road a whole lot. When I do it's nothing crazy. Dirt roads and such. Would I benefit anything by ditching the rear blocks and getting Darker leaf pack? If so would I need to also upgrade the rear shocks?

Here's some pics of current setup:

Save your $ and get a pair TSB AAL's and ditch the block. You'll get a much better ride on and off-road. Keep the fronts, that's a nice set-up!

Blocks are not good for offroading. If you put too much torque on the rear suspension, the weakest link - the blocks - will explode.

I've seen this happen a couple times. The Blocks break into pieces and go vaulting into every different direction (a friend got hit in the leg by a piece). The drive shaft disconnects and/or breaks from the diff and either goes digging into the dirt or makes an ugly mess of the underside of the bed. It's very ugly and violent when blocks break.

Bang for my buck an applicable use...AAL or Leaf pack? Also if I do either or do I upgrade the stock rear shocks? Would that make a noticeable difference in ride? From what I've read with the blocks there is the warp issue for off roading but it supposedly keeps the ride closer to stock than AAL's & Packs.

If you want to keep a stock ride(ish), 5100's and an AAL will be your best bet. Blocks are like wheel spacers: looks over function.

Aftermarket shocks will greatly increase your ride comfort, especially over larger bumps and pot-holes. I found the stock shocks to be valved way too light and harsh over bumps ('13 AC OR).

If your stock leafs are at a negative arch (like mine were), replace them with something else. Again, it depends on your needs- but there are tons of aftermarket leaf spring options. Do some searching around and you'll find a spring that fits the bill for you.

Thanks! Going to look into getting AAL and maybe some Fox 2.0's this week.
