Double cab Long Bed

I can't, but I am interested in your question. These stock tires are Dunlop Ass-Grabbers or some shit, and Peerunner said his lasted all of 21k miles...worst tire he's ever driven on.

For 285 AND 75, I'm guessing you'll rub like hell unless you change the wheels/backspace and add some lift.

 

Yep lift and cab mount chop are the easiest ways. I went with 255/85/16 and only had to trim a bit of plastic after my lift but I'm going with 285s next time but will need to cab mount chop first. Spacers help too but some people hate spacers.

 

I paid about $1,100 for a full set of skids including gas tank. Sliders were DOM bolt on for $700 but they can definitely be had a couple hundred bucks cheaper. I needed to upgrade my suspension to handle the additional weight.

 

I have a 2.5 inch leveling kit on my taco. I have been told i can get 4.5 backspacing on the rim and fit 285/75r16 on there without the cab mount cut. I dont want spacers, and hope i can Go with 285's just with the new rims (no choping)

 

It seems like its different for every truck. I did a 3" front lift and still had to cut alot of plastic and do cab mounts. Its not as scary as it sounds really.

 

What tires size are these?

 

I have the 3" Icon kit & the frame chop completed and I rub on turns with impact all the time, 275 or 265's seam better if your going to use it.

 

When I had larger size tires with stock wheels, I was rubbing the fender. Fixed that with fiberglass fenders.
When I moved to a wheel with 4.5 backspacing, cab mount rubbing. Cab Mount Chop to fix that issue.

 

Im scared to do the chop! how much are you chopping off when you do the cab chop?

it sounds worse than it is & i wasn't so happy on the idea at first, then the cutting began and a plate was welded in.

 

^^^ Agree. You will end up cutting as much off as possible before the mounts - and don't be worried. You'll just fill it in.

Thanks man! Allpro expo's in the rear with 10" fox 2.0's. Front is just a 3" coil spacer and 1.25 spidertrax spacers(have one rear too) Highly debating the Icon ext travel coilovers with a new UCA's.................
