which one: revtek spacer or billys set at 2.5?

    alright so this is my question, i just got an 06 tacoma access cab. its got a revtek 3" leveling kit on the front and a 1.5" lift in the back. So i just purchased some billsteins all the way around and was wondering if i shld keep the billys at stock and keep the spacer up front or forgo the spacer and set the height at 2.5"? i have searched and searched and cant find any opinions. I also have285s on it. Also im new to this forum and this is my first post and i wanted to say thanks for all the great info!!!

    both compress the coils, but go for the bilstein's, you will have a better ride and the adjustability is great too

    Are your sure the Bilsteins pre-load or compress the springs? Every where I have read states otherwise...:confused:

    I thought that the springs sit on an adjustable platform from 0"-2.5" and it's the shock that extends down?

    It compresses the springs (pre loads) to give lift.

    it does adjust the coils, not the same that the spacers do, but they do compress the coils

    If you think someday you'd like coilovers, get the Bilsteins. You can always use them later if you decide to upgrade to a coilover. With a spacer lift there is no reuse and you'd wind up buying new shocks as well.

    I see, I need to go back and read up on it then. The coils compress to some degree under the vehicles weight right? So are the bilsteins compressing them more?

    :Dok with that being said i happen to know of a guy selling an almost brand new set of revtek coil spacers for real cheap:) haha ok so im going with the billys set at 2.5 and ditch the spacer. you think my front end will be a ouch lower now? it just barely clears them 285s nicely now.
