thinking about picking up a welder here soon, next few weeks. Probably around 600-700 dollar range.
was looking at the Lincoln electric 180 from Lowes.
Read around and people said it was a solid welder, really wanted something that runs off 110/220 though.
anyways any suggestions or personal reviews on the lincoln 180?

I'm trying to figure out the best die for a model 3 bender to get to build headlight guards on a bumper. I'm am looking for something similar to what Pelfreybilt or Demello does. I was thinking either a 5.5" or a 6.5" radius die but I'm not sure.

I'm a welding fool today. Going pretty well thus far. This us on my tundra lca bushings were siezed. Cut the arms out and pressed out the bushings. Welded straps onto arms to gusset the bushing eyelets. Don't wanna have a second Gen oops happen lol

Then straightened a few bent tabs back and welded being them. They will never bend again. Half way done. One more arm to go.

Ridiculously thin. It almost cut too fast with a cutoff wheel.

when you do the other spindle make sure you run it way hotter and go way slower, make sure you are preheating the cast too

Already done. I did preheat the cast with a torch. Not crazy hot but hot... I felt like I had a decent puddle? Melted the cast first and swiped over to the gusset and back. I'm learning clearly but I think it came out decent?
