What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

I should probably do it while the bed is off. I've done a set before and they are easy.

 

Have fun with that dude, been there done that lol. I'm going to be bobbing the front of my bedsides when I finish all my tube work.

 

Did you ever get your AC back together? I'm only putting mine off because I need a new bolt/pulley/mount..pretty much everything that is related to the pulley.

 

Yeah but it's not blowing cold. It's weird the compressor runs but seizes sometimes. I think it's shot and I need to replace the whole system eventually.

 

me too but mine still blows cold I just don't use it

 

B&M trans cooler. Haven't driven it yet but when I do I'll hook the scan gauge up. It gets too hot for my liking while driving in the mountains.

 

I'm rubbing the shocks reservoir at full lock. My washer tank was in the way of the shock reservoir but did a little mod to it and that's fixed.

There's an obscure little arm/elbow thing that comes out of the bottom of the tank that was in the way. So I cut it off. Didn't realize it was hollow and fluid came out, so got some sealant and put a screw in it. Also had to cut the shield around it a little.

Ah. I always wondered what are the benefits of doing that?

 

From my gathering, you can get more spring for more travel without getting more lift. Also allows you to use longer shocks.

But since I do more rock stuff I need the clearance.

 

I need to do this, since I put my front bumper on my trans temp has been ~180+ and today it got up to 206 city driving.

 

How do you monitor transmission temp?

 

Scanguage.

 

Ah, I have an Ultragage and I don't think it has that ability

 

They didn't have the ability when I got the scanguage, @m3bassman talked me into the scanguage because of the trans temp monitoring and I love it.

They are supposed to be coming out (Or did come out) with a new ultraguage that can read the trans temp, but it may be 2nd gen only?

 

Hm, I haven't heard anything about that. If they did release it, I wonder if I could send mine in for a software update. Hmmm. I'll look into that tomorrow
