Kinda want to paint my cupholders a different color to spice things up in the interior. I'm just afraid that the constant taking things in and out of them will chip them up pretty bad. Is there any good way to seal the paint to protect it good and maybe give it a good shiny finish? Anyone ever paint them before? By no means am I an expert painter. Any help appreciated!

painted interior plastic pieces of a ford expedition i used to own, i used duplicolor paint followed up with a clear coat. the pieces held up well against daily use. its all about the prep work, clean really well with a mild soap or all purpose cleaner followed with alcohol to remove any residue, oils
