Yes, just the front components and they r gonna be running off the focal 2100 amp. My 2013 doesn't have cut out for the rear speakers cause it's an access cab. We r still debating if it's gonna be worth it or not.

I also installed the Focal 165 V30's in the front and the 165 CA1 series in the rear. The owner of the Stereo Installation Store initially wasn't impressed when I told him that's what I had purchased, but after they were installed he was blown away by the sound. Extremely clear even at very high volumes. You should be very happy. I also second the opinion that you don't need to be concerned about what you put in the rear because you'll be mesmerized by the Focal's in the front and you won't even hear what's in the rear!

I hate to tell you, but i am wicked dissapointed in my Focal Flax 165 FX components and Focal Access 165AC rears (about $800 worth of speakers). No amount of tuning can make them worth the money for me, and i have total sound deadening too. Really, theyre unlistenable without a sub, and with a sub they still dont satisfy. tighy highs and poor mid range with next to no low range. My boat's 8 year old MTX coaxials sound just as good.

Hopefully your experience is different! Let us know if you're happy with yours

@ranger098 thats funny cause all the talk about focals being so awesome and lots of people have great luck with them. It sounds like u and me are the only two that don't like them. I agree... Mine currently sound like crap. $350 wasted. I been on the phone with focal 4 times now. Been readjusting my amps and trying to figure out why they don't have good tight mid bass, the tweeters are scratchy and they break up at higher volume which is my biggest complaint !!! My $150 set of jbl's sound better. I'm not giving up yet tho. Focal offered to return them for me but said these were an awesome sounding set of speakers saying that it's something else that is affecting them. Im gonna fool around with them a little more tomorrow and see if I can get the staging better

Does the crossover have attenuation jumpers to reduce the tweeter output level? If you have EQ capability then I recommend cutting in the 5k to 8k range.

Also, do you have a high pass filter on the mids? I recommend you set them to something around 60Hz with preferably a 24dB slope. 80Hz is a good starting point if you have a sub, but without a sub the mids will just sound bleh.

Also, FWIW, my tweeters sounded like crap at high levels right after I installed them. A couple of weeks of listening really mellowed them out.

I did some research and found that you can send your serial numbers on the speakers to Focal and theyll tell you if theyre fakes or not. Theres a big market on ebay for fake focals, and thats where i got mine. I got mine from a trusted seller thats sold TONS of focals tho so i thought it would be legit and they sure look legit. Im gonna send the serials tonight and see what i got. Honestly i think i would be releived if they were fakes because then i would at least know what to do to get good audio back!

However, i have had some people comment that Focals arent all theyre cracked up to be. preference i guess....

If u go under focals website. It tells you who is the authorized dealer or not. I got mine from woofers etc. I sent my serial numbers in and they r authentic. But I'm still unhappy with them. Crutch field had a sale or misprint and I picked up two sets of the ps-165 for only 200 a set. The next day they were 449. Lol. I think and hope they will sound better than my v20's. That will tell me right there as soon as I swap out the speakers. And if it is the v20's then I will be shipping them back and demanding my money back !!! 350 bucks is not chump change for me.

On Focals's website The Ebay seller i bought from was first on the list of unauthorized dealers, but that doesnt mean that theyre fakes. Just means they dont honor warranties from him. and MAD congrats on getting ps165s for 200 (or 350? your post was unclear there), thats epic. I would sell them instead of returning them if youre unhappy, and make some money. As long as theyre legit at least.

Focal polyglass are entry level components. I would invest focal k2 power series you will not be disappointed. I personal run the Utopia series and I don't have one regret.
