Well thanks for the discussion, everyone. I really appreciate it. Hopefully it's a minor fix. I'll keep everybody posted on what happens. hopefully I'll be able to get it in today or tomorrow. If not, I'll definitely do some investigating on my own.

Had the issue also with my 08'. See if the drivers side leans at all and take some measurements from the hub to fender on all four sides. You just might have some taco lean going rather than a "hidden" accident

I'd think the different colored-bed decals would be a givaway- I'd suspect an accident of some sort and I agree that the bumper doesn't line up with the bed- looks like the bed shifted from right to left and is to the left of the passenger rear bumper. Has your truck been aligned? If so, and it tracks straight, I'd attempt to loosen the bed and center it if that is possible. It looks like 1/2"-3/4" of shift would center it above both tires.

With my OCD- I'd be losing sleep. that would drive me nuts.

It's definitely driving me nuts, I've been sick since I noticed it. I've already put a ton of money into the truck, and if I find out the frame isn't square or something like that I'm going to be pretty devastated. Not to mention fucking pissed at toyota for selling me a damaged vehicle. Don't want to get ahead of myself though, maybe it's just something minor.

Your bed has shifted toward the driver's side... probably ~.5", but .5" is going to make the tire look like it protrudes +1" on the passenger side. Loosening the bolts and centering the bed should be all you need to do.

I'm hoping that's the issue. Can't believe it took me so long to notice. I'm always washing it and checking it out. Maybe it just recently happened. I took a pretty heavy load to the dump about a week before I noticed... maybe I cornered a bit to hard and that shifted it?

Is there really that much play in the bed mounts?

After reading this thread I looked at my 2015 and the bed to cabin alignment was off just a smidgen or enough for me to notice now that I know about it. Due to my OCD I could not leave it that way so I loosened the 6 bed bolts and corrected the alignment. Looking at what I did, I do not believe there is enough play in the bed bolts to correct the OP's alignment issue but it might be worth a try.

With 2 different decals I would suspect some sort of damage. I think we need a poll on this one. Did you check CarFax?

I did not check carfax. It was toyota certified pre-owned or whatever they call it. I'm going to do some searching on the vin tonight after work and see if anything comes up. That will really piss me off if I find out it was in a major collision and they never made any note of it.

I have an appointment to bring it in on Wednesday morning, so I'll hopefully know for sure by then what the deal is.

There's apparently plenty of play in the bed bolts: My 2015 was delivered to me with the bed off center by 0.75" or so... They took it in back, loosened the bolts, pushed it back into position, tightened the bolts, and brought it back out to me.

    Wasn't a problem at all...

I hope that's all it is for you.

That is an easy tell tale sign of damage being repaired. I have seen cars with different fonts on emblems as well. You could look and see if there is any overspray on your frame. If the bed was removed to be painted (usually not by cheap paint shops) then it could have been put back on caddy wompus, park it in the sun and look at the orange peel if your really concerned. Silver is one of the more difficult colors to match so you would see a variation in spray pattern as well. There are TONS of ways to tell if a vehicle has been repainted but those are the easiest. If you need more I know the tricks of the trade.

That's crazy, I can't believe that it can move that much. Hopefully that's it. Thanks for the info

Thanks for the info. I'll scope it out after work this evening and post pics of any irregularities. Really hope I don't find anything...

I didn't notice until about 3 or 4 months after I purchased it. Rookie maneuver on my part I suppose

My bed was offset by 1/2", an easy fix, but like others have said, it looks like damage from a collision. I hope it works out.
