whos got the best bows?

ive been looking at different bows for the past few days, ive been layed up in the bed with shoulder and elbow surgery. ive bow hunted in the past years with a pse but my dad loves his parker what do yall think?

 

no pse on the list??? no bear archery????


for now...i gotta go with pse...never had a prob with my old nova, but im gonna buy a new bear archery truth 2...or done deal.....pretty soon. they draw is like silk man.

 

I've shot a pse, but I really love my bowtech. try them, you won't be disappointed, good luck with your rehab btw.

 

will could you add those? i have no idea how and im slow to type ( one hand)

I personally wouldn't own anything but a Mathews.

 

I definitely have my reservations about Bear. I had one for a while and I probably wouldn't buy another one.

Shoot a Martin right now and I would have to say it is a very good bow. I really couldn't vote because I haven't shot some of the bows.

However I would definitely recommend a Martin.

 

if i could afford $5-700 for a bow, id probably go for it..but my $350 parker does the job just fine.

My dad swears by his Mathews and mine has been good to me. My brother-in-law and his dad use mathews too

i was also told one very important thing by alot of people on bows..dosent matter what myself, or the next person think of a certain bow..YOU need to go and handle/shoot different bows to see what you like.

 

Exactly!! And another thing that the archer that taught me said, was to make sure that you like the looks of your bow very well. It will help your confidence.

As far as brand, I have shot my Hoyt for about 16 years and it's been a good one and killed lots of deer. I just bought my son a Diamond, and my daughter a Parker. Both good bows. But my involvement with NASP and Christian Bowhunters of America has helped me learn about a few bow manufacturers since the purchase of my kids bows earlier this year.

Mathews will be the only bow company I will ever support again. With NASP and the other support they give to not-for-profit organizations and the youth nationwide, their willingness to go above and beyond to support the youth and local communities shows. Hoyt is a little more stubborn and doesn't give back like Mathews.

For some this is not important. To me, i've seen youth reap the rewards, and it is important.

Mathews for me. That being said it's a real "Ford vs. Chevy" kind of debate. Lots of really quality bows out there - just a matter of what feels good to you. My boys have fairly inexpensive Martins and the deer they shoot end up just as dead as the ones I shoot with my high dollar rig...

 

This is the first yr I have ever bow hunted and didn't have $1000 to spend so I bought a Fred Bear 2010 Buckmaster and it shoots superisingly smooth and very consistant. I have about $400 in it with all the goodies. I am very pleased with my purchase.

 

Hoyt's 5 layer laminated limbs set their bows way above everyone else. I work in a shop and see dry-fire's and dropped/abused bows all the time. The only ones that don't need replaced componets are Hoyts. Mathews limbs crack, and cams tear and bend. Parker limbs crack. Bowtech limbs crack.

 

I have a Martin. Its a small one. Too small for me now actually... Had it for years. Never failed me once.. Think it was 300 or so for it 5 or 6 yrs ago

 

I shoot a pretty old hoyt and its an awesome shooting bow. Just cant be a little girl about it cuz you hold it back because it don't have much letoff lol. Next bow I get will be a PSE. Dad shot the same one since the 80's until this year and its always shot great. Original limbs and all. Mathews and the other high dollar ones are nice, but I couldn't pay that much for a bow even if I can afford it. I'm a "keep it simple" kinda hunter. Its like someone already said..."ford vs chevy"
