Yep. Long gap too. Got off an "emergency outage" about 3 weeks ago.

Supposed to be getting hired on as part of a "base crew" at a local powerplant in September. Which means I'll finally have a steady full time job. Pretty excited cause I'll finally be able to move out and get a rent house.

But. Can't draw unemployment yet and no ones hiring locally. So I gotta find a way to make ends meet until September (mid august at the earliest). Which is probably gonna be difficult.

You has a weird lifestyle son (to me anyway). Even way back when I was your age, that would drive me nuts. But to each their own.

Good luck on picking the job up.

Anyone interested in buying an 09 VW Jetta TDI? Wife's car and will probably be trading it in soon. I haven't even looked at the value, but would be trying to sell somewhere between retail and trade-in book. Car is in great shape, 80K miles, 2.0 turbo diesel (does not require DEF), DSG trans (dual clutch auto shifting manual). Low-end torque is great, fun car to drive. If actually interested, I can get some pics towards the end of the week.

Started to think I could get away with a half ton for a tow rig, then I added up what I'll be pulling. That's a big fat nope.

    6,000lbs for the truck
    4,000-6,000lbs for a gooseneck 25' trailer

There are half tons that have a tow rating that would cover that, but I'm not gonna pull at the limit of the rating. Guess I'm still looking for a 3/4 or 1 ton.

I would have considered it, if it was a manual.

Post up what you'd sell it for anyway. Might be interested if the price is right.
