HAHA! I watched a zj try it and he got wedged between the tree and the rock halfway through, and blew out both f/r drive shafts at the same time and broke out two windows. 3hrs of winching later we got him out, and 3 SAS'd mini trucks bounced right through problem free LOL!

I've seen photos of lions den and I'll never run it unless I've got a full on tube buggy. Fuck that shit, cage won't help anything.

The entrance you need a cage or an exo at least since you have to hug a rock overhang. Other than that its pretty hard to flop in it since your surrounded on all sides. Its all about being narrow and if you can get over the rocks and not be afraid of driving up a rock wall and side hilling lol!! One could own that obstacle with a Sammy on 35s!

I actually think your truck would make it if you still had the exo, or didn't care about caving in the passenger side of your cab lol.

Ill dig out the pictures of the mini trucks on 33's bouncing through there. Once some drunk hillbilly knocks that tree over, that obstacle will be nothing!

Man i want to go back there! All you bastards on big tires who cant drive and floor it up everything have made that place hard for me LOL:luvya:!! I drove up mason jar in 08 with my taco on 33s open in front and a crawler, now i cant even get up the first rock ledge!! Same trip i did upper and lower damnation and only had to pull cable once, now i cant even get in there LOL!!:sawzall::sawzall::sawzall:

Mark who's truck is that? Sweet axles, if only it were 9.5" centers. Ground clearance for days tho on that 8" lol.

Slander it's crazy how much the trails change... Mason jar was very difficult last time I went, had to take a few easier routes, couldn't get up some of those ledges in the middle!! Ridiculous!!!

Yea the group i went with this fall thought i was a liar when i told them i drove that obstacle in my truck and didnt use the winch! The year before when we were down there we were letting a group "play through" on white tail crawl and some Canadian redneck in a rockwelled buggy on 54s was flooring it trying to get up a ledge on the side of the trail (not even part of it) and knocked all the boulders down the trail and completely change the whole thing.

This winter. I have the axle (fj-60), im tearing it down, making my shopping list now and deal hunting. Ill park the truck in my buddies shop in September when my friends park their trucks for the season and start chopping it up then.

The build thread in my link has my initial plans, going a little unconventional just because (front shackles, fj60 leafs because i have them, low slung, frame chop blah blah blah). You guys can start betting now when my front frame will break off since it will be my first foray into structural welding, i have built bumpers and welded on shock and spring perches, but this will be a first for the heavy duty stuff.

I bought it then did a straight up trade for a yj... The taco was just too big to fit in parking spaces at the mall.

Well you are all right, kind of.

No updates to speak of, truck literally hasn't moved since I drove home from Chattanooga Memorial day weekend. Couple minor things I need to check/work on. Loose front Pinion. Leaky Tcase front output. Need to make a new trail rear Driveshaft.

I am pretty lazy, as of lately. I haven't had the motivation due.

I am seriously considering selling it, but cant bring myself to yet. No clue what I could even get.

Most of the above is predicated by other "life stuff" i am trying to focus on right now too, as Homer said.

But otherwise I am still here, doing cab mount chops for friends and making 2nd-gen T100 master-cylinder adaptors for donations lol.
