    Hows this build going! :spy:

A fellow Red supporter in these parts is rare

I just bought a bestop supertopper and im planning on having a bed rack go on top of the topper so i can run a RTT on top of the bestop on the rack. How you liking the all-pro?

The build is in a holding pattern haha. To many bills at the moment.
The all pro rack is great! I'd like to put line x on it at some point but the rattle can is fine for now. LFC is doing great this year so far. Laid an egg against Southampton but oh well. YNWA

Damn Straight! New job is keeping me busy. Don't get a chance for TW as much as I would like. back at ya!

Dang. Ridiculously delayed response on my part. My bad. We came close. So so close. Still a good season though. Can't wait to see LFC in August!!! Gonna be a blast.
Build has pretty much stalled. I've been focusing all my monies on a 75 Honda CB360 that I'm building into a cafe racer. I desperately need to get an AAL and shocks for the rear of the Taco. I gotta find the time to do it.

Been a while since I posted. I installed the 3 leaf AAL from Wheelers and 5100's. I was sitting at 22 1/2" from center of the hub to the fender and I retained the overload spring. After the install I'm at 24 1/2". This should really help when I have the RTT mounted and all of our camping gear. Shouldn't have the saggy rear end disease anymore.
I ran into a few snags along the way. For some reason the location of the brake cable mount was in the way of the new AAL clamp. I had to remove it, trim it up and weld it to the new clamp. Attached are some pics of the install. I will add a profile pic of the truck unloaded and loaded later on this week.
    Goodies

I cut this clamp off as you can see it will interfere with the new spring.

    Driver side almost finished

Then I had to remove this bracket as it was hitting the new leaf packs clamp.

I needed a place to mount the brake cable so I used the part I cut off, trimmed it and welded it up.
    The bracket wouldn't reach

    Quick fab and perfect.

    Passenger side

A little primer and paint and I was good to go. The ride is a huge improvement!

    Many thanks to @YotaDan @Sandman614 @Bentrodder @chris4x4 @ryanjboutin @ERMB @Bandit @scottalot @medic2230 @PeeRunner @loco in the live thread for yalls help and insight. Greatly appreciated!!!

I noticed at lunch an ever so slight vibration coming from the rear about 2 seconds after I accelerate from a dead stop. I'm guessing this is coming from the driveshaft. I've changed some angles due to the lift. The vibration is really minimal. @YotaDan should I install shims?

    Looking good!

Did you do the OME FK29 Carrier Drop? Also, I would get back under there and re-torque the u-bolts. Roughly 85lbft.

Thanks! I did not do the Carrier Drop. Should I try that before thinking about shims? I will re-torque the u-bolts as soon as I get home. Torqued them last night to 85.

The u-bolts are probably ok then. The carrier drop is cheaper and much easier to install. So it is a good place to start. Also, it helps to pack the Splined Slip Joint on the driveline with grease. Just make sure to mark the driveline so you keep it in proper alignment.

Ok thanks Dan! I'll give that a go. Hopefully that will smooth it out.

    Here is an unloaded pic

And a fully loaded pic with all of our gear and the RTT. It sits nice and level after the 3 Leaf AAL's install from Wheelers. Very pleased!!!

Installed the carrier bearing drop kit by OME. It did not fix the vibration so I will be installing some shims now. Just gotta get em ordered.

I'm getting a low pitched noise from the engine when I press the gas at 70-75mph that was not there before the rear springs or the OME Carrier bearing drop kit. I've ordered the 3* shims and I'm going to remove the drop kit to see if the roaring goes away. I do not remember it before the drop kit but I may be wrong. The best I can describe it is imagine bass hitting but at a very low volume and sounds like its coming from in front of the gearshift up near the bell housing. As soon as I let off the gas it stops. It's most noticeable at 70-75 but goes away if I run 76-80. It is also noticeable at lower speeds but not nearly as much. I wonder if the OME drop kit is binding something. Is this possible? Anybody had the same issue or have any ideas???

I also plan on removing the overload spring when I install the shims. I feel like I'm leaning forward when I'm in the seat

I removed the overload and installed the 3* shims. Still have a vibration between 0-10 mph. I guess the rear end is just too high. :notsure: Can I remove the smallest leaf from the 3leaf AAL? Is that safe to do? @YotaDan

First off, I would double check that the Carrier Bearing itself is not bad, and then I would mark your driveline slip joint, pull it apart, and pack it with a good quality grease.
