need help to find 98-02 3rd gen 4runner heater control knobs

and I want to replace them with the 4runner ones that have the white light illumination thingy in them.

does anyone know where to find original 4runner knobs or a replacement knob that I can use with the white illumination thingy knobs that will fit the Tacoma?

I was super excited by the first picture, right up until I saw the second picture lol

that first picture looks like what im looking for as far as the illumination thingy but I need the half mood shaft connector not the square shaft connector for the knob

I was thinking if I can just pop out that plastic insert and swap those but I just checked and mine is square shaped with an "L" shaped thing at the end so none of that helps me.

Toyota changed the part numbers on the 4runner ones so I cant even order the 4runnner ones that were originally white, because now they only send you the orange ones as a replacement part just like they did with the heater control panel cover plates

Have you thought about changing out the whole heater control unit from a 4runner?

 

with no other options, I had to buy a used control unit from a 4runner just to get the three knobs.

haven't decided what to do yet but I like the green a/c and rec lights so I might just swap the entire control out and sell mine with the orange a/c and rec lights
