    Here's the body

    Outline laid for cutting

Here is the other side after my first cut

This is the first completed section. I left the tabs where the fender flares screw in so I have the possibility of making it look somewhat stock again if I need to go that route in later years

With the tabs bent up into the well

Here is the front taped and outlined

The front cut with the tabs left

With the tab rolled up into the well

Looks GREAT! Every time I start thinking 33's will do, I see some truck porn like this and want the 35's again... I put 4.56 gears and lockers in and now need the tires to justify them.

It's well worth the wait and it sounds like you already have a good parts list.

Found the leak. When you clearance you need not be pissed off or hulk/shrek out on the pinch weld it will move without so much force. I busted the entire length of the pinch weld from the bend up, through the firewall. Lovely day. Good news is that little blue box that houses all the electrical connections, it can be removed with force and pulled out of the way to get a silicon gun in there.

I really trashed my Dura-Trac tires on that Rug Road trip this Spring, they are 32's but vibrate like heck now and are shredded from all that rock climbing. Truck did very well on that trip even though I took it easy in the rough stuff I got plenty of good use from the sliders and skids as you may know... Lockers make it simple to crawl op and over stuff I never would have tried before. Now with a bit more clearance with the 35's I would be golden...

32s to 35s is more then a bit more clearance. That's a completely different capable truck.

Bill, I'll be down at Avid doing all my clearancing and CMC soon. Send me a PM with your number and I'll text you when I go. I have a feeling you are going to want to this with Brandon. That high clearance rear and even your front may need some trimming to stuff 35s.

Way way back there was a few days of people talking about axles, but nor really about them breaking. With 35's and not a heavy foot wheelin, how do axles really handle it. Will there be more breakage or do they hold up pretty good

They hold up pretty good as long as you don't have ripped boots.

How are you guys carrying spares besides just tossing them in your truck bed? I travel about 3 hours away pretty frequently and would like to be able to keep a spare with me, but it look decently presentable and more difficult than not to steal. Any opinions? Thought about building a tailgate replacement that doubles as a tire carrier like some companies produce.
