I have a 2005 Toyota Tacoma with the v6 in it. The motor makes a squealing noise when it is warm. I have changed all the tension pulleys. The weird thing is the noise will continue for a second or two the the truck is turned off. Any ideas ?

Is that noise coming from the front of the truck ? or the back.
you have 05 truck do you know if it has ATRAC or VSC ?
That would be the only thing still powered after shutdown.

It is coming from the front of the motor. How can I tell if it is a ATRAC or a VSC, thanks for your help

Look at the brake booster. ATRAC one is massive. non ATRAC is regular. (looks like any other car)

ATrac??? not a chance buddy, it was introduced in 2009 to the Tacoma even though the 4Runners had them earlier.

Dude there was no ATrac in the Tacoma in 2005-2008. Period. That's also when Tacoma ditched mechanical limited slip and went to hydraulic brake booster to imitate limited slip that's is when Atrac was introduced to the Tacoma in 2009

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
TRAC/VSC were options back into the late first gens...ATRAC was not.
