Truck came with one already installed but it leaked everywhere. A replacement was 475 without fans, picked up.

Typically the general consensus is lighter for street racing and heavier for off-road, especially in a crawling situation. I'd probably go with the 30 lb. if you do resurface make sure you go to a competent shop or something. O'reilys neglected to check their computer system, only resurfaced the face not the step, and did it crooked. It destroyed my brand new clutch in 500 miles. Had to spend ~900 bucks and drop my transmission a second time and they didn't do anything to help me out. I'm still pretty livid thinking about it!

If you do go with his hit me up with a number for yours lol I'm stuck right now between buying an older built truck or continuing to build my 2nd gen. The 2nd gen would be cool built and all but I just don't see myself ever being happy with it

How do the wheel bearings and seals hold up in those? I just don't want to put money into an axle that ends up sucking as bad as this Elocker does. I haven't even wheeled hard with with it.

he is a little negotiable on price, but its already priced to sell IMO....

i would buy an older built truck, and use your 2nd gen to tow it!!

That's the plan, your buddies truck would be sweet but I can't shell out the much coin right now. If he still has it around Christmas maybe but yea I plan on keeping the 2nd gen to pull it with. Already have a trailer too lol

It felt like ever time I wheeled the elocker axle I broke it. Like literally. I'm on 35" tires and the t100 axle is good so far. Bearings and seals are fine.

Why does everyone seem to hate the tundra axles? You'd think a 9.5 or 10.5 would be G2G

Every time you rebuilt the e-locker axle did you use OEM parts? What did you continually keep breaking on it?

I know we've talked about this before BUT you see the abuse the stock taco axle can hold up to... Yes the 9.5 and 10.5s are stock parts, but they a stock for a much heavier duty truck. I dunno... I guess you have to give and take... It provides a lot more ease of installation. I just feel like it would be hard pressed to break.

I've been looking for a t100 too. I'm not building a race truck, and I'm only going to put a grand into the rear. That's my budget for 4.56s and a locker. If I can get the gears and axle done for $500 or less, I might splurge on an ARB.

I think some people arnt on the same topic some refering to the old tundra axels and some talking about the 2nd gen tundy axles. I have the 10.5" i havnt goten to drive on it yet but im plenty confident in it, after everything i put my 8" thru and techincly never blew it up untill a shitty gear shop regeared it wrong. Another guy from dtf has the 9.5 and he has beat his pretty hard. I think the 10.5 is a good inbeetween from stock and a full floater 9" you can pick one up ready to go for 1000-1500. Keeps speed sensors and easy to install. Only downside is you have to use an adapter to change from 5 lug, run diffrent rims or have custom axles made.

Have your axe holes filled and drilled is not very expensive.
