    Lol.

Look @BlueT, I posted sell sheets and made some price comparisons. We disagree on models. Yes, if you buy a bottom of the line CrewCab, which is better equipped than an SR, you will pay less. At the end of the day Diesels do cost more than gasoline engines to produce and equip in North America. That was the original comment.

As for only living in North America, you can only live on one continent at a time. They can can you up into little pieces and then you could be dead on several continents, but not alive on several continents. I have seen the Hilux a few times, as well as the T6 Ranger and the Mazda mid size when I go to Mexico, Dominica, etc. They look like nice trucks, but I don't compare anything to what I've seen because those trucks in those countries couldn't pass anything safety related here, let alone emissions.

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Hilux has machine guns. Your argument is invalid.

This. The 3rd Gen Tacoma is hardly a radical redesign. As far as I can tell, Toyota is keeping the good stuff and adding both more HP and more MPG. Not much to complain about, assuming it all works as advertised.

Your manager sounds like a bad one lol. Considering a calculator is available on cell phones I'd rather take the time to unlock my phone and get a 100% correct answer 100% of the time.

Why learn math at all if a calculator will do it for you?

Calculators don't know order of operations. You should always learn how to do something manually first, and then use the automatic way after you have confidence with the manual method. Just having a calculator is useless if you don't know what the calculator is doing. You will mess up and not know what is wrong or how to get the correct answer. At work that'll get you canned.

So in a way you are both right. Being able to do quick calculations at least lets you double check the machine in your head. The machine should do the work because it is quicker and more accurate when used properly.

I do everything with a calculator or Excel now but I still break out a pen if something looks funny or if I'm dealing with massive amounts of product that need to be checked and rechecked.

If you enter the exact equation with parenthesis the calculator will do it according to order of operations.....

That's only if you know where to put the parenthesis, which requires knowledge of order of operations lol.

If you type in 2+2/2 and don't know order of operations to put the parenthesis in the right spot you still get the wrong answer. Excel, when it gets complicated, is notorious for messing up order of operations because people forget simple things like BEDMAS.
