EDIT #2. Nevermind, it's the 4Runners that got CBI bumpers.

I'm actually "from" Mt Gilead, in central Ohio; but I now live near New Philly, in Tuscarawas County - south of Canton. Probably on the far south end of what Clevelanders consider NEO!

Trying to talk the wife into moving Ouray - ish in Colorado though.

I second that. If I had a job that would let me move there, I'd be gone from the Front Range in a heart beat.

I'll put you in touch with her. I've thought about both divorce and murder if she continues to refuse to go.

that's a Kaymar bumper. I think they had it imported through Outback Proven, which I'm not sure is even in business any longer.

According to Rachelle, the gal I met, it was an Australian made bumper but the company went under. (No pun intended)

Episode 1 was on earlier, not too bad. A decent setup for the adventure to come, hopefully.

No the importer Outback Proven went under quickly after they opened. Their site sucked and they weren't getting regular shipments in. The actual bumper company is very much still around and a big name in the Aus and NZ Overland scene. They and ARB are some of the few companies that actually jump through the hoops to become DOT approved which is required by Aus law for modifications to vehicles. Pretty much the reason you see every overland vehicle over there with the same 2 or 3 bumpers. http://www.kaymar.com.au

Ack don't say it! Haha I haven't started this season yet. Still catching up on the originals as time permits. ;) I'm only a couple videos away at this point.

Eezi Awn is the brand. They were imported from South Africa. Might want to check out Prinsu on here

Thanks! I am pretty set on getting Prinsu for cab and the shell. Just never seen these before. Prinsu definitely looks better... and cheaper too

I'm not going to lose much sleep over it. He has a way of over-dramatizing things.

I was actually disappointed with the first 2 episodes. Lots of advertising for sponsors and shameless plugs. I get it that it's necessary but basically they grabbed lunch with some Toyota employee. It's like the baja was just unimportant afterthought. Too much footage of that totter engineer sitting in restaurants talking with these guys and not enough travel and driving footage/details. I hope the series comes around and gets a little more serious. You see better trip reports on TW.
