From Dallas about 8, I am planning about 10 since my girl is coming with me. I am just hopeful it's not 12. She will find shops and stores along the way that she will want to stop at

We are making a week of it. Headed south Sunday to San Antonio, then move to Rockport Wednesday, then down to Port Isabel Friday. We will be headed home Sunday afternoon and she loves Buccees

I used homeaway.com and found a place for $99 a night in Port Isabel. They required 2 night stay which fit our plans perfect.

So if we keep a pole in the water whether or not we are manning it, we can pop up a tent and stay the night?
