Ya to each his own. He took it up Big Bear and ran John Bull and a couple other easy trails and hasn't had an issue yet. He loves it.

From what PSU Taco85 and others have heard, there are some issues and that 3 link kit doesn't work great on this truck (not like the 1st gens being posted with the same kit I believe), mostly with clearance for up travel IIRC. Now the exhaust will be repaired and the links redone. It should be sweet when it is rebuilt.

Must have heard it here ? Not sure if this is the same build or not, assuming so because of the link clearance issues annotated.

Thanks for pointing that out. It all looked like noise until there was an explanation.

I've been following all the SAS threads for when I get bored with IFS and win the lotto and stumbled upon this, glad to know he's getting it fixed up by the pros.

The whole truck is getting rebuilt by rst. Wonder how rebel offroad feels about that.

You can also ground the dash light so that isn't on, let me know if you need more info

No noise, just the facts here. Wrong kit used for the wrong truck. Sure I may not be the expert at solid axle swapping a truck but frankly that's not my full time job and fawk me theI guys that claim to be can't even build it right. If I did that kind of work at my job I'd be ashamed. Thank you rebel off-road for your honest reply to my comment. Let's see the RESAS build outcome by RST for the whole story.

With the candid feedback I gave I can say I'm sorry for insulting some poor fabrication and engineering skills, but with so many people saying it was cool to fit 40s on a truck with all that flecks I had to stand up and say what was right.

Rebal offroad you guys went wrong with installing the wrong kit for the job, shoe horning a 1st gen kit into a 2nd gen didn't work, so RST is rebuilding it. The upper link should have been on the pass side where there is room for it instead of hacking up the exhaust. A Toy 8" axle is not the right choice for that truck either. Mistakes were made and you've been called out on it. There's a lot of guys on here with advanced knowledge specific to these trucks, I feel you guys should have listened more from the start when issues were being brought up.

    But I'm no expert either

Oh but wait I have a truck that has nothing to do with this thread and my SAS kit works so I must know exactly what I'm talking about. I diverge, Let's all pretend like I knowledgably insulted a Tacomaworld member, let's see the pics of that top link and catalytic converter again, that's some sweet work.

Once again a different generation truck so you're speaking apples and oranges. Get your facts straight then come talk.
