That's what I thought you had to do. Alot of auto cross guys don't run a front sway on fwd cars and just leave it there disconnected.

From my understanding it helps your inner side suspension deform better for better traction.

But I was thinking soft springs with massive sway bars would do well though

Yeah im not sure the theory behind it. I assume its because there is more independant movement and that helps on a tight auto x track?

$700 bucks today if you want them. I'll even drive them up to the city too.

I like the Duratracs, but want to move to a different size tire. I have to change my rims to run with out spacers anyway, so I figure I might change the tires at the same time.

The size I want is 255/75r17. I ordered Duratracs a while back, but there seems to be an issue on the Goodyear end with production or distribution in that size so I might only see them as early as the end of this month.

What I will probably do is just wait for the 255 wide Duratracs to come in, but until I get them I am running without a full size spare and I don't like that. Even though I hardly ever blow a tire, and it is almost always a nail or a screw when it does happen.

How do they handle wet asphalt?

I kind of like the tall. skinny look. Most of my off road driving was in Army G-Wagons, I think the tires are a little more than 34" high and a little less than 10" wide.

They're actually really good! The deep lugs contact the pavement before you get enough water under them to hydroplane, my street floods every rainfall, i barel through it and not a hitch to it

Nice! Hydroplaning is my #1 concern with tires, (road noise is not even on the list).

If I had 16 inch rims I would be looking a lot harder at 33" 255s.

Dude i was just at Crappy Tire, they have a Champion 2" reciever hitch with d ring, is that the same one from Princess Auto that goes on sale from time to time? I was going to buy a buggy whip and get a case of cans so i could have a flag, but my daughter was getting a bit frustrated, apparently she doesn't enjoy crappy tire like dad does
