Well gentlemen, I just got mine back......supercharged. way too much traffic to even remotely open it up. However the one time I was able to get on it a little I did indeed noticed a difference.....and it sounds sweet. We stopped for a bite and when we get outta here the traffic where I'm at is gonna be down right horrible!!!! When I get closer to home I should be able to see what it has to really offer me.....I'll keep you all informed.:mudding:

Well gentz, at least yall are only having trouble getting the parts... I spent more than a month on this.. found out the day the bulliten went out from a buddy at a local dealer and decided that day to buy... kits were already being bought us in droves. Then here comes the problem for a lot of us forum followers... if anyone has had their ECU flashed for the 'spark knock' I sure hope you have a spare ECU or 1000k extra to spend... I luckily found one off a wrecked truck... NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!

But hey Now I am boosted and let me tell you with a full front bumper, heavy nitto trail grapplers full belly pans this thing is worth every penny. And its fun.. Good luck guys. Try not to stress over it like I did.. wow...

TACOconvert2012: can you elaborate on your comment above? Are you saying if your ECU has been flashed for the "spark knock" TSB, then you will NOT be able to get the supercharger ECU reflash?....and will have to buy a spare ECU to reprogram?

Edde you are exactly correct. The spark knock TSB changes the calibration ID and trd refuses to come out with one that will work.

Aw naw!! I just found out about the supercharger being discontinued! I've got to get on this forum more! This interrupts my Super Taco build!! Phase 3 Supercharger was scheduled for next year! Now what am I going to do? What luck are people having getting one at a decent price? The dealers in my area are part of SET (Satan's Evil Toyota) so I don't think I have a chance with them. These used to be all over eBay now there's only one for double what they used to cost. help me help me help me! I can get a 401k withdrawal to cover the cost...if only I can find one!

Phase 1: TRD exhaust and shift knob (done when purchased)
Phase 2: TRD Beadlock wheels and XSP-X hood scoop (currently in progress)

I posted this a few weeks back, but try this site! It shows stock status of both fit kit and SC unit.
Give those dealers a call that show both units in stock and have it shipped!!

For those who have them installed. With a stock exhaust do you hear a lot of noise (whine) from the blower? I guess I'd like to know if it's just a little or obnoxious? Cause I drove a SC G35 with a Stillen unit and it was pretty bad when you went WOT

Don't think so! It's has intercooling, belt, and vacuum routings. Not sure what the emissions sticker looks like?

Do the dealers mind doing supercharger installs with an aftermarket front bumper installed?

Cabe Toyota has a couple according to that site, and I did call to verify it, but they want $5144 for the charger and kit. I'll sit on my backorder.....

Good luck with that!! What are your chances of a backorder being filled with a discountinued part/s...
If you want the remaining available, ponying up a few dollars might just be worth it.

At 2000 RPM you can hear it a bit, taking off really slow at 1700-1800 RPM you can't. At healthy throttle (not WOT) yes you can hear it. At first I thought it made a bit of noise that could be irritating. I got used to it really fast. I'm old and don't do a lot of git-up-n-go-driving, mainly back and forth to work in the city on 35-45 MPH roads with some stoplights but not a lotta traffic. Yes it makes more noise but it's a great noise when you want it to make noise. A great noise.

You can ask questions while the last few fly off the shelves, then you'll never know. I'm very happy with mine and so glad I got it in Dec 2014. It's fun and I bet it will add a ton to my truck when I sell it in about 20 years............. By then I'll be dead anyway.

Mine removed the very upper front part with the Yota emblem to install the intercooler rad and pump. If you got some massive antler stopping bumper.... Maybe more labor.

Ask. Sometimes the internet isn't the best place as the old school face to face interactions. Bring a box of doughnuts for the tech/service guy when you drop it off. It shows you care.

Meh. If the backorders are filled, great. If not, I'll continue to enjoy my nice truck. Then, if/when I ever move out of California, full on URD time.

thanks man. i used just that very link a few weeks ago and found the charger
I'm not willing to wait on my charger to show up months after the order to stop selling them was passed. Blind devotion is going to leave a lot of people normally aspirated. Buy one from somewhere else and then on the off chance your backordered charger actually shows up. Sell it on here or eBay. I'm not waiting. My backordered charger can show up eventually but by then I'll have my other one
