I have it in writing. I also have the option of denying the deal, so if they try that crap I can walk away. I also have two friends who have friends at that dealership.
I won't pay extra for those bullshit dealer add-ons.

Also does that footnote mean no TRD Pro in 2016?

Yep. I bet it will make a comeback soon though, Toyota sold too many too well, much like the raptor.

Sooo, is "Inferno" the orange(ish) color of the DCLB that has been in all the photo threads at the Canadian car show and "trail photos"?

If I'm understanding you correctly, it sounds like you're referring to a 2nd gen. OP is talking about the new 3rd gen.

I just hope they don't go and devalue them like they did the current ones by releasing all the parts to anyone who wants them. You'd think they would have at least waited a year.

I'm referring to the 3rd Gen also, hence the SR reference. The dark green is wishful thinking as my Gen2 is this color and I like it. I was hoping either another selling region or fleet sales would give us a green to select. Since I didn't have a lot of 2016 information to go by, I provided my dealer with the Utility package as an option in hopes it would be carried over from the Gen2, as it's a cost savings item I really wanted.

If Toyota doesn't bring in a non Pre-Runner 2WD SR for 2016, it's a mute point as it's the only Tacoma I'd consider. My present Gen2 Base is the perfect height for loading my motorcycle and marine plywood for boat building, something I'm not willing to give up.

While I like the Gen3's appearance and most changes, If Toyota removes the features I need and another manufacture still provides them, I'll have to move on unfortunately after (6) Toyotas since 1978.

I do miss my 5lug from a height stand point, table saws and sheet goods were so much easier to load. You could always lower it, I think :crapstorm:

Wish I could help more, or maybe I'm just being stupid, but I'm confused lol. The SR package is available/can be found on second gens, not just the 3rd gen. Would be nice if the brought back the green, but nothing seen so far has hinted at it.

Nope, my mistake, I'm a little out of the loop driving a 09 bought in 08. Back then I believe the SR5 was the upgrade package available. I looked up the 2015 and saw the SR designation as a trim level. That said, I believe the "base" truck trim level like my 09 regular cab has been replaced for 2016 with the SR designation as a stand alone, basic truck trim level. By all means, correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm going to investigate other regions to see if a green is offered, perhaps as fleet only color.

Been talking to my guy at one of the largest Toyota dealerships in NC and southeast for that matter and they have no clue. Or at least they're just playing dumb with me.

I went to a Toyota dealer near me yesterday and they didn't know anything about the new 2016 and the guy was a jerk. I called another one near me and just said "I had a friend" that already ordered the 2016. He said I mean it's not even in the system so that salesman probably made a deal to just automatically put the order in when I popped up. He said the salesman haven't seen them yet and usually they drive them early before they hit the ground so they are prepared for the sales rush. He also said that the earliest he would for see the trucks hitting the streets would be November. Not sure if he is right but he was super nice and I figured I would just share my experience. He did put me on a list in the system to contact me as soon as they are available so I'm one of the first to order to beat the rush.
