Nothing to be jealous of. I've got a bit of experience being around this truck and being part of a team that finished on the podium in two Baja 1000 races. I'm not saying the fancy and expensive suspensions aren't good. They're great, but they come with more maintenance, more cost, more time. If you're good with all that, have at it. My point is that a VERY small percentage of people on this forum would even need something remotely like that.

So basically you're saying that 99% of the people on this forum don't deserve a decent suspension? I could post pictures of somebody else's race trucks all day. Most people are modifying for expedition style of off roading. That's what these posts are about. A quality set up is worth it's weight in gold if you don't want to be stranded outback.

call it whatever you want. I not telling anyone they don't deserve anything and that they shouldn't get nice stuff. Just that the way most on this forum use their trucks, they don't need that much suspension. and BTW, I'm not just posting random pics of "somebody else's race truck"

Coilovers are a great product, but realistically the vast majority of people on here that buy coilovers do so because they're more expensive, and in America more expensive is more better. Plus they're advertised more by the companies that sell them compared to OME, because thats how capitalism works.

If you want to go with coilovers, it's your choice. All we were trying to let the guy know is that for his NEEDS, OME will do him just as good as a coilover at a cheaper price point and with less maintenance.

Old Man Emu setups are designed from the ground up specifically for first gen tacomas unlike a lot of other suspension options out there. They might ride a bit rougher than something like a race designed coilover at high speeds in the dirt, but at low speed you aren't going to tell the difference. They might not soak up pot holes on the road as well as coilovers too.

But, if you care about how your truck rides on the street, you should probably take your man bun and skinny jeans to a buick dealer.

For the record, even for strictly on road driving kings made one hell of a difference over 5100s to me. I realize 5100s suck, but I'm saying the price is worth it. Off road ride is awesome too. I would go coilovers again if it means eating ramen noodles for a month. I might even put a set on my Denali and that will never go off road.

I recently got a great deal on wheels & tires through Discount Tire Direct. They price matched, gave me a $50 discount that was suppose to be web only and free 2 day shipping. I know they probably still made money off of me but the custom service was great!

    New wheels - 16x8 Level 8 MK6
    New Tires - BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO2 265/75/16

I mounted & balanced the tires myself. I was surprised how well they balanced. Checked the road force and found very minimal pounds of road force.
